ABS Alloy Plastic Compound

Description

ABS Alloy Plastic Compound

• Introduction

MYAL-001 is an ABS Alloy Plastic Granule developed and produced by our company.

This product is widely used in various injection molding products, such as smoke alarms, fire emergency lights, various electrical enclosures, etc. Customers can directly replace the expensive traditional modified ABS flame retardant particles and modified PP flame retardant particles without changing the mold!

ABS alloy plastic pellet MYAL-001 is very suitable for market concerns: flame retardant V0; yellowing resistance; shrinkage rate is similar to that of ABS flame retardant, no need to change the mold; price advantage, better performance.

•Note

1. Injection Speed: The injection speed should be slow, otherwise excessive shearing will degrade the quality of the material.

2. Screw Speed: The screw speed should be further determined in accordance with the molding cycle. The screw surface speed should not exceed 0.15-0.2m/s.

3. Back Pressure: The back pressure can reach 150bar. Of course, the lower the data, the better. The common value is 5bar. (The back pressure is too high and the pressure of each section is easy to strain the surface of the product during injection).

4. Retention Time: Under the temperature of 185 °C, the retention time of the barrel should not exceed 5 minutes. When the temperature is 195°C, the barrel residence time cannot exceed 3 minutes.

The above is a simple guide for the injection molding process of our modified ABS alloy plastic. It is reminded that special attention should be paid to the injection speed and back pressure. The melt temperature can be measured by the air-shot method, ranging from 185-200 °C. The exact melting temperature of the modified ABS alloy plastic can be known from the smoothness of the injected material. If the material is rough and uneven after injection, it proves that the material is insufficiently plasticized, indicating that the set temperature is too low; if foaming and a lot of smoke after injection, it means that the temperature is too high. The injection speed should be slow, otherwise excessive shearing will degrade the material. When using modified ABS alloy plastics to produce extremely smooth thick-walled products, the filling speed of multi-stage injection molds should be used, and the screw speed should be further matched with the molding cycle. And determine the screw speed. The screw surface speed should not exceed 0.15-0.2m/S.

Traditional ABS modified plastics have excellent comprehensiveness, good impact, dimensional stability, good electrical properties, abrasion resistance and chemical resistance, excellent dyeing and molding processability, but the disadvantages are thermal deformation and aging resistance, weather resistance, acid and alkali resistance and flame retardant. The performance is not strong. After a large amount of flame retardant system is added, the mechanical properties of the raw materials are greatly attenuated, which has a great impact on the surface brightness of the product, and also accelerates the aging of the material. Our new ABS modified alloy material not only has the advantages of traditional ABS modified plastics, but also makes up for the shortcomings of traditional materials. At the same time, it also has a very high cost performance advantage, which is the best choice for customers to reduce costs and increase efficiency.

The following is the parameter table of our company’s ABS modified alloy injection molding process temperature: For Reference Test Machine.
